El Shack serves cocktails and raw-bar snacks by the pools. The bay is calm and flat, good for paddling, and the beach is public with black sand.
How far is El Mangroove Papagayo from the airport, and what are check-in times?
The resort is about 12 miles from Liberia International Airport (LIR), roughly a 20–25 minute drive. Airport transfers can be arranged with the hotel, and surcharges may apply. Check-in starts at 3:00 PM and check-out is at noon.
What else should I know before booking?
El Mangroove Papagayo is a smoke-free resort, and pets are not allowed, though service animals are welcome. Balconies, patios and terraces at the property may not suit very young children. A government-issued photo ID and a card or cash deposit may be required at check-in for incidentals.
